Do you wish to replace your missing teeth with a more fixed and permanent option? If so, your dentists at East Texas Dental Associates, PC are able to grant your wish with dental implants!
Dental implants in Tyler, Texas, are biocompatible anchors that replace your teeth and roots. This is an option many of our patients prefer, mainly because they act and look like natural teeth and they eliminate any worries of the teeth falling out or slipping out of place.
The dental implantation might take a little bit of time to finish. It generally takes about three or four visits with Dr. Lebo, Dr. Compton, or Dr. Kenney. The first visit will involve your dentist mapping out a treatment plan to help you understand the entire process. The second visit will include your dentist inserting a titanium post inside the bone socket of the missing tooth. The bone needs to fuse to the post and heal around it, which could take anywhere from six to twelve weeks. Once the bone has healed around the implant, an abutment foundation will be attached to the implant. The final crown will be cemented over the abutment, completing the process.
